This Blanc Fugitiu is made from Xarel·lo, a grape variety from the North of Spain. To extract the hard tannins, the juice is soaked with the skin for three weeks. They remain continuously under the surface of the juice to extract all the flavor but while preventing oxidation.
In the nose, next to white fruit and apricot, toasty and saltiness. The structure is juicy, with a lot of taste: apricot, peach, citrus, something roasted, something minty, and a bitter aftertaste, which is also reminiscent of a split ice cream.
A layered wine that you can smell and sip and contemplate for hours.
